AWESOME!!!! 3 man is great because having a 5 man roster is very hard for some teams/players. and with great prizes like mwppa always has, i am SURE you will have a great turnout! THANKS! Chow Yunng Fat will be there! Do you plan on doing more of these throughout 2008? That would be awesome!!!

I am thinking about playing in this one, we will see how it goes.

good idea. you will probably get more teams because of the size of the teams and the lower entry fee. i also like the idea of having a beginner division.

I'm going to play in it now that it is a 3 man beginner division! I can't wait.

50$ a case. maybe?

Because you said that they will probably lower the paint price...
It has been suggested to lower costs for paint, you asking isn't going to make it happen. They already know that everybody wants less money per case.

I'll definetaly be there.
Good idea for a 3 man.

PSP drops rate of fire to 13bps
The PSP has released new rate of fire rules which lower the rate of fire cap from a max of 15bps to 13bps.

7.3.6. A marker may fire at a maximum rate of 13.33 balls per second

just wondering is that going to be in affect at the mwppa?

Bryan

just wondering is that going to be in affect at the mwppa?

I think they would want to change it, but I don't know if it gives people enough time to flash their boards if they aren't capable (I think Tadao can't do 13, maybe others).

djthen
01-14-2008, 05:52 PM
my guess would be that the 13bps change for the MWPPA will happen at the next 5 man event they run if they even change it.

dcherne
01-14-2008, 06:36 PM
From what I have heard, the MWPPA will also be lowering the bps rate to 13 in accordance with the new PSP rule.

Randy Norcross
01-14-2008, 08:26 PM
Tadao can go down to 14 right now. With the upgrade, down to 10.

Tadao flashes the boards for free. Mail them in or take them to a national event.

I mailed in two boards and got them back in a week. I had to pay shipping both ways.

Virtue is capable of capping at 13 right now.

when this week will the prizes and complete rule book be up?

MWPPA
01-15-2008, 01:53 PM
At this time the MWPPA will not be lowering the rate of fire. We are still discussing it. If we do choose to lower the rate of fire, we will be sure to announce it to all of our players and make sure there is plenty of time.

The rule book is being modified and rules are being discussed. Lots of things that go in to something so simple.... Please hang tight.

Our team has four MWPPA events... so in doing this, would we be bumped up to novice or is that only 5-man events? Paint color? Is white gear still banned from MWPPAs?

Does anyone know if every player on the roster has to be register with the APPA. Also, do you need to buy an I.D., or is that just for the bigger tourney's, like PSP.

Everybody has to register with appa, but you don't need to buy an ID card

Just out of curiosity, is anyone else having trouble adding themselves to a roster in the beginnner division on the APPA? I've never played tournament paintball and just started a profile, and when I try to add myself to my team's roster, it tells me that rookie players aren't allowed in this division.:help:

Everyone needs to have a APPA acct.

Players from a higher ranking are NOT allowed to drop down a division

If you are having trouble registering email me or pm me and we will see if we can figure it out for you :)

when is the field layout going to be posted? is it going to be psp or nppl? i think it would be a great idea to have the snake on the window side because a lot of action happens on the snake side and the fans should be able to see it. also, are the prizes going to be cash or gear?

Does anybody know if the spyder vs3 is legal for this tournament since it has a rocking trigger?

pb4life

4.21. Players may use a single, 68 caliber, pump or semi automatic paintball marker, which consists of a single barrel and a single trigger.

As far as I know the VS3 is leagle. because it only has one trigger, the rules dont say anything about more than one switch (at least that I know of). and technicly it would only shoot one ball per pull of the trigger, since only one switch is activated per pull.

rockindapump
02-01-2008, 12:52 PM
if in doubt just disconnect the micro switch on one of them

We are still waiting for company's to get back to us. We are ready to get the prizes up as soon as we hear back.... It will be paintball products for prizes.

You need to have your entry fee in by Tuesday night, as it says on the APPA site, Warning: Entry fee amount is determined at time of payment, NOT at time of registration. Only PAID teams have a guaranteed spot in the tournament.

is it possible to extend the time period in which you may receive paint at 60 a case? We would have paid already, but PAYING for a tourney without knowing prizes is tough to do. I understand the MWPPA is good with there prizes, but we don't like giving our money away still wondering and we would also like to know which division we want to sign up for based on prizes within divisions. Thanks

Who cares about the prizes. I just want respect. I just want to have playing tournament paintball. If the team wins, then thats a bonus.

well thats your perspective and your entitled to it, but does it have to be mine to? because it obviously is not.... I care about prizes, and so do a lot of others and thats partially why the mwppa does so well, not to say they don't put on a nearly "national level" event.

02-04-2008, 10:09 PM
yeah a couple of people will play with me if the prizes are good, so yeah i think the prizes matter a lot. that's why they should post the prizes before the deadling for $60 a case of paint.

its your tournament and you can do what you want. i already paid for magnum's team entry (just now to get the cheaper paint) but i noticed that a lot of tournaments in MN don't give out important information until the date of the tournament is very close. i think a lot of the tournaments in MN would get a greater turn out if the information was out ahead of time and the information was posted on the tournaments website. part of the reason sup air had so many teams every year was because all of their information was given almost a year in advance. if you want anything to get a good turn out you need to plan ahead and be organized.

pb4life
02-04-2008, 11:31 PM
the right thing would to do is to post the prizes and have the deadline for $60 per case the next day.
