Looking at a new gun

Hey yall i just started playing paintball and i have now an E-Rex Elite witha smart parts 14'' barrel. i wanted to get a spyer Pilot or a Spyder Electra but i wasnt sure. im not use to the paintball tech yet so i dont know whats good or not. can someone please help me! thank you

How much are you looking to spend on a gun? If I know your price range, I can make a couple of good suggestions.

Well I'm guessing that you are talking about the 08 spyder electra due to the fact that i cant seem to find a place to buy the pre 08 electra. I found a site that sells them and the 08 electra sells for 200. Im my opinion no kingman/spyder is worth 200.

On the same site that I found the electra, they are selling smart parts ions for 165. I think the ion would be a much better idea. If you decided to buy from that site and you bought that ion, you would save 35 dollars. You could probably pick up a steel bottle too.

You might be able to find a stock 06 Ego for that price. that would be my first choice for you. It's high-end, but it will work when you take it out onto the field. You can also check out the Ions.

before anyone can really give you a good option for you, we need to know a couple things.

What type of paintball are you playing?

Do you shoot CO2 or compressed air?

Whats your play style like?... Are you aggressive or laid back, do you shoot a lot or shoot very little?

well i got into woodsball but i want to do xball as well. i use CO2 but i heard Compressed air is better so i wanna venture into that when i have the money to get it. and im aggrerssive i like to shoot and get up in the action even tho im somewhat slow for now :-P so i got my fair share of bruises on the d-day game.

not a ego6, they run around 350-400, id say an etek or an ego5. also a pm6 would be good.

wow they dont seem bad at all! question is. CO2 or Compressed Air? and what kind of siple upgrades should i get and whats so special about a "2 piece barrel?" and what kind of barrel threads does it have?

compressed air, you can find steelys for about 30 bucks, which are 48/3000psi steel bottled tanks. simple upgrades on a pm6 would be a board and trigger if you want more modes and dont like the trigger, but they can be adjusted pretty good and feel pretty nice.(i got mine really nice, and its all stock), the stock board works perfectly fine, so really nothing needs upgrading. 2 peice barrels are easier to change, like if you needed a different bore for the paint your shooting, you could just buy the back peice instead of the full barrel.

pm6s are nice, i reccomend picking one up.

they go for 250-300, unless you find someone who like quit or something then they sell for cheaper. you posted on mine.
