Anyone using one of these w/ the RF board installed on their marker?
I have been hearing conflicting reports on how well it works with the RF board...
The Magna has great reviews on PBReview, but a couple local dealers seem to think they may have problems when used w/ the RF board.

Got one with RF on my A1. When it actually picks up the RF signal it is amazing...but if it isn't picking it up constantly(which is more often then not), you would be better off with a gravity feed hopper.
I have been using it with the sound setting anyway to off set any issues and I couldn't be happier. It is a good hopper and would recommend trying one out. It doesn't sit to far back and hit your face or off set any weight to any noticable point.
IMHO the hopper is worth the money, but the RF chip is about as useless as a melted freezer pop.

where do you have the RF chip situated in the gun??

I've tried every possible place that the wiring will allow. The area that I had the most success was just slightly over the battery and with the transmitter wire facing away from the board. The biggest issue is that no matter where you put it, it will essentially be free floating in your grip frame. If you have any success I will be glad to hear it.

Maybe try raising your dwell, the following was copied from Bob Moon's post on AOG:
"Based on a conversation Ken had with Empire, some of the guns need to have the dwell raised 10-12ms. They are aware of the problem and are going to do some testing in the following weeks."
Sounds like a weird fix, but it possibly gives the RF transmitter just a "little bit longer" to transmit. I think part of the problem is that the A1 solonoid requires substantially less voltage than most other markers. Less voltage needed for the solonoid = less voltage for the RF transmitter.
Try it and let me know if it makes a difference.
