View Full Version : which hopper should i get
so im deciding on what hopper i wanna get. i narrowed it down to 3 loaders, the empire reloader b, vlocity jr, or the halo b. i need your opinions on which one i should get. thanks
I currently have a halo b/v35 with rip drive, and I don't really care for it that much.
I'd vote for the vlocity jr.

i like halos. personal prefrence i guess, they are both great hoppers. a plus side about the velocity is if you break the raceway on it, you can just buy a new race way, as on the halo if you crack the race way...your either super glueing like a MOFO or buying a new shell
yeah do you know if the vl jr is loud, becuase i need a quiter hopper since i play speedball and woodsball.

empire B is the only loader i have never had an issue with. i have used them in many tournements national and local. i have had problems with halos and velocitys
im probly going with the reloader b since iv read a lot of good reviews on it and it is sound activated.

I would go with the halo because the empire is sound activated and its happened to me where the gun was so quiet that the hopper would not feed!
will the empire work with the mini

Go with a vlocity for speed and for weight, it does use more battery quicker but it does have select force to.If you go with an empire then they are also good but make sure to have it set right for your gun.otherwise you could go with a halo which are also fast, parts aren't that expensive for them, but they are a little heavy and do use 6 AA's.Lke said already on vlocity's you can just buy a new raceway instead of a whole new shell.

it really depends on what you want... the fastest of the 3 would be the empire but its sound activated so if you have a really quiet gun it wont work well (like a mini) Vlocitys are lighter and run off of eyes so they will work on all guns but they are slower (not too much slower... couple bps...) than halos and empires... halos run on eyes as well so they work on all guns as well but most halos and some empires come with really fat feed necks so you might have to sand them down and that makes them weaker so they break more unlike vlocity's.

empire ----- vlocity ----- Empire

i'd go with the halo been using the same one for 4 years only had to replace the shell once. have had zero problems with it. it is a tried and true loader. the only thing more reliable is a revvy. get the 9 volt kit though it is the best, also you need the rip drive, the rest of my team uses velocitys and have replaced the shell 3 times in 2 years. we are all very nice to our equipment, the velocitys have a weaker shell. they also seem to use alot of batteries. also if you have a adjustable feed neck you will not need to sand down the neck on the halo.

go with a empire over a halo. faster, smarter, and has a rip drive. but the velocity is lighter and more durable

i have a halo b as of now and it works ok, had a few problems with the feed on it and now i fried the board because of the halloween game on sunday! (thank you snow) but $50 bucks to replace isnt that bad. i had a Velocity and worked ok but they have a weak shell like ppl have said, the shell snaped just by dropping it on the ground during a game (which got me to get a halo)
