Default tech support/warranty claims

Has anyone else ever tried to make a warranty claim for any paintball related gear? I think I've had to send in equipment to every major manufacture so far and I can say that they are all terrible at warranty claims.

Seems like the only way to get good service is to bring it to a national event

Local fields and stores are usually the only way that manufacturers give decent service, but then each store usually specializes in one or two lines. At national events is always the best way to get tournament gear worked "under warranty"

Or check with local stores, but im sure you knew that.

Air Assault is an official Planet Eclipse warranty and service center. We can fix just about anything in house while you wait.

I personally had a bad experience when I had to deal with Dye, and have heard the same from others. Yet others have had no issues...

However I've had nothing but good experiences when I've had to send stuff in to Kee or Planet Eclipse for service. Both of those companies have had stellar support any time I've worked with them, and I've heard nothing but good from others when dealing with Planet Eclipse support.

I've had TERRIBLE experience with Dye. It's hard to even get an RMA number. I tried for 3 months with my Rotor, and then just gave up and got rid of it. When I sent a gun in for a warranty covered issue, it took them a MONTH to install a new bolt.

I've had very good experience with Eclipse, Ninja, Empire Prophecy, and CCM. But if you ever have a problem with an Eclipse gun, it's going to be easiest (by far) to just go to Air Assault. They have nearly everything on hand for an instant fix.

Default Dye, Eclipse Tippman

I've always had great customer service from Dye. Same from Eclipse, Luxe, Smart Parts, Bob Long and Tippman. Never a problem, never a delay in getting service. (I can't speak of Luxe or Smart Parts since they apparently "shut down" in January)

Most recent experience was with Dye. Monday Jan 11th I called and asked for a NT update kit, the tech included a new airport without my even asking. Dye shipped UPS the same day and the package arrived Jan 15th. I've had similar experiences when I needed a DM8 replaced, no problems, fast service.

It's always best to clearly describe the problem, what the solution is, and ask the manufacturer to kindly take care of the problem. Two additional outstanding resources are Air Assault where they can repair just about anything, and the forums you can find on the internet where problems and fixes are openly discussed.
