Splat Tag’s Giant Big Game II
An Editorial
By Larry “Sage” Strack

As dawn set in on the wooded valley where Angels and Spyders dwell together in harmony, there was an electrifying aura of things to come hanging overhead. Fun, merriment, challenge, comradery, teamwork, disappointment and yes, even treachery. The troops were rallied; battle lines were drawn on the earth. We were given our orders..."Hold your flag and keep your General alive." We were up for the task at hand. Common soldiers were assigned as Medics, Ordnance Specialists, GPS Experts and yes...Special Forces. Only the radically well trained were assigned as Terminators in the later battles, but they did their jobs well.

As the morning dew began to dry on the fresh grass, the call to arms was sounded and the mighty warriors set off to right wrongs, seek glory and fight the good fight. The Orange Team displayed dominance in the first three skirmishes with the Yellow Team somehow managing to tie the forth round. It was clear that the Yellow Team was demoralized as their numbers began to diminish. Yellow Team soldiers left the field of battle, obviously, to cry and weep in the arms of their loved one’s at home. It wasn't until (As rumor would have it.) Darrin made concessions for the shortcomings of the Yellow Team by changing the rules of engagement. Rumor has it, and I dare not repeat this anywhere but here, the Yellow Team was allowed to have twice the amount of Terminators and they were each double duty as Medics. Medic, heal thyself? That’s not an oath taken by an honorable man. But, oh the pummeling these brave souls took. So, not only were Traitors part of the treachery and deceit but the self-restoring Terminators took the final toll on our brave and valiant warriors. While we kept our ultimate order to let our flag fly high and keep our General alive, our battle with the Terminators kept us from fulfilling our alternate orders of blowing up the water supply. These valued points went to the Yellow Team to bring them the victory.

Beware deceptor’s of the truth; spoilers of justice, the Orange Team will again come to arms to avenge this trickery. We shall not be duped again. Honor and integrity will once again be brought to the field of competition this fall at the next Big Game. And lo to those that fall into their sights.  You have been warned!

Farm Land Paintball Club wants to thank the Splat Tag Crew for a well run scenario.  Lessons were learned and we believe the Fall game will be even more fun.  Everyone we talked to had fun and wants to be back for the next event.  Thanks Darrin and the Splat Tag Crew.
